Jakarta, July 6, 2026 – The Diploma III (DIII) Taxation Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University, organized a public lecture entitled “Legal Aspects of Business: Developments, Opportunities, and Challenges.” The event was held as part of the Study Program’s commitment to broadening students’ understanding of the evolving business landscape from a legal perspective while bridging classroom learning with professional practice.
The public lecture featured Sabar Pardamean Lumbantobing, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PT Lima Sekawan Indonesia (Hive Five), as the keynote speaker. PT Lima Sekawan Indonesia (Hive Five) is a business consulting firm specializing in business legal services, taxation, accounting, and integrated one-stop business solutions. Drawing upon his extensive experience in assisting a wide range of businesses, the speaker shared valuable insights into the evolving legal dimensions of the business environment and their practical implementation in professional practice.
With extensive experience as both an academic and a practitioner, he delivered comprehensive insights into the dynamics of business law, covering regulatory developments, emerging opportunities for business entities, and the legal challenges that organizations must anticipate in conducting business activities within an increasingly complex and evolving environment.
Through this public lecture, students were expected to gain not only theoretical knowledge acquired through classroom instruction but also practical perspectives derived from real-world industry experience. The discussion of case studies and practical examples of legal implementation in business provided participants with a clearer understanding of the challenges they are likely to encounter in their professional careers. Consequently, students were encouraged to strengthen their critical and analytical thinking skills in addressing various issues related to business law and taxation.
The event was conducted in an interactive format featuring a discussion and question-and-answer session, allowing students to engage directly with the speaker on current issues and emerging trends in business law. The participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm through their active participation and thoughtful questions, reflecting their strong interest in deepening their understanding of the relationship between legal frameworks, taxation, and business practices.
Through the organization of this public lecture, the DIII Taxation Study Program continues to reaffirm its commitment to inviting distinguished practitioners and professionals from various industries as part of its link-and-match learning approach between higher education and the business and industrial sectors. The Study Program hopes to continue organizing similar initiatives on a sustainable basis to support the development of graduates who excel academically while possessing practical competencies, professional insight, and strong readiness to meet the challenges of today’s dynamic workplace.
