The Diploma III (D III) Taxation Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti, has carried out a Community Service (PkM) activity at one of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sarawak, namely Zuema Enterprise, Sarawak, Malaysia. This activity provided comprehensive insights for the MSME management, particularly in the areas of financial record-keeping and business development.

Through this program, the PkM team gained valuable knowledge regarding the production process of Mee Kolok, business capacity, and the marketing strategies implemented by Zuema Enterprise. Mee Kolok Sarawak is recognized as the first Mee Kolok product in Sarawak to receive halal certification. The company’s success in maintaining consistent sales and penetrating international markets demonstrates the strong competitiveness of local products while reinforcing Sarawak’s culinary identity at the global level.

The owner of Zuema Enterprise, Mrs. Normawati, received constructive recommendations related to strengthening marketing strategies and improving accounting record systems to support more effective, well-organized, and sustainable business management.

For the Diploma III Taxation Program, this Community Service activity has provided significant benefits in strengthening the role of higher education institutions in supporting MSME empowerment, particularly in administrative and business management aspects. Furthermore, the activity forms part of the program’s internationalization efforts through cross-border collaboration, opening opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship and business management.

Through direct engagement with MSME practitioners abroad, participants gained broader insights into business challenges and opportunities in facing global competition. Overall, the activity was successfully conducted and delivered added value both to the business partner and to the implementing team from the Diploma III Taxation Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti.
