On this occasion, the speaker delivered a presentation entitled “Sustainability Governance: Strengthening Companies’ Sustainability Strategy.” The theme of sustainability attracted significant interest among students, as it provided new insights into the implementation of sustainable practices across various industrial sectors.
Through the presentation, students gained an understanding of the importance of sustainability governance within corporate strategy, particularly in relation to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects. The material emphasized that companies today are not solely expected to focus on profitability but must also consider their long-term social and environmental impacts.
In addition to broadening academic perspectives, the activity also introduced students to the strategic role of taxation in supporting corporate sustainability in the future. Students were encouraged to understand that tax policy, tax compliance, and fiscal incentives play a vital role in promoting responsible and sustainable business practices.
This understanding is expected to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of tax professionals in supporting sustainable economic development. The Guest Lecture also encouraged students to become more critical and adaptive in responding to global issues, enabling them to connect sustainability concepts with real-world practices in business and industry.
